Dedicated facility for nuclear pump parts, servicing and upgrades

A new building (completed in 2006) incorporates a wide range of machine tools and pump rebuild facilities. These include on-site tear down and inspection, machining, welding, balancing, reassembly and nuclear grade quality certification. Our fully qualified staff deliver professional and timely responses to customer needs.

Having in-house engineering resources for both common and unique pump service challenges ensures speedy response times. Additional support is provided by central engineering and design groups providing specialized mechanical design and hydraulic development such as comprehensive rotor dynamic and finite element analysis.

Services provided by the Chattanooga facility include;
• Repair, refurbishment and pump upgrades are offered for all nuclear plant pump services and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This includes auxiliary and steam side repairs, nuclear safety related repairs and contaminated repairs.
• Assumption of design responsibility and certification of pump and assemblies in all plant for all OEMs.
• Certified nuclear Quality Assurance Program for pump repairs the requirements of 10CFR50 Appendix B and ISO 9001. Nuclear Quality Assurance for pump replacement parts all the requirements of ASME (N & NPT Class 1,2,3) and Appendix B and ISO 9001.
• Hot shop capability for ASME (all code classes) and other radiologically contaminated components.
• Commercial grade item (dedication services including Positive Material Identification PMI).
• Field performance diagnostics, including pump hydraulic performance mechanical condition monitoring.
• Extensive experience in reverse engineering, rapid prototyping manufacturing of parts for pump repairs.
