Karhula Foundry
The Karhula Foundry is part of Sulzer Pumps Finland Oy, supplying demanding steel and special cast iron pump- and agitator castings primarily to the company's own factories in Finland, Germany, UK and USA. The Karhula Foundry is one of the largest foundry worldwide focused on the pump- and agitator castings.
The patterns are manufactured using a high-speed five-axis machining center. Of the total annual production, 85 per cent are made of duplex or super duplex steel grades by using AOD converter. Molds are made by using a method based on a resin-bonded sand or Replicast® Ceramic Shell molding method. The net weights of the castings range from 0,5 kg to 15 000 kg.
The Karhula Foundry applies safety, quality and environmental systems approved by DNV.

Mänttä Pump Factory
The Sulzer Pumps Finland Oy´s facility in Mänttä is a producer of pre-engineered process pumps for the pulp & paper and foods, metals and fertilizer industries. The Mänttä facility focuses on producing small and mid size pumps from the AHLSTARTM process pump range where high production volumes are required. This modern facility contains state of the art manufacturing processes and machines for producing end-suction centrifugal pumps. Their quality control and environmental management systems are registered and independently audited.
