Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd officially opens new Glasgow office
Sulzer Pumps has officially opened its new Glasgow engineering, purchasing and sales center. The office is located in Orbital House, East Kilbride and is currently configured for 24 staff with space for further expansion in the future.

The opening ceremony was conducted by Richard Whitely, Managing Director of Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd. and was attended by employees and their spouses who went on to enjoy a reception to mark the opening.
The aim of the facility is to support engineering, purchasing and tendering operations of the UK manufacturing centre located in Leeds.
Internal networks allow the office to be fully connected to the main systems in Leeds, as an example the engineering CAD systems are able to save and retrieve drawings from the Leeds servers as well as access other locations via the companies global intranet. The addition of a video conferencing system allows Glasgow based employees to join meetings, not just in Leeds but in any of the major facilities Sulzer Pumps operates world wide.
One of the key attractions of the area for Sulzer Pumps was the ability to recruit engineers who were experienced in all aspects of centrifugal pump design, manufacturing and sales allowing a smooth and speedy start up. Although only just opened, the office staff, all of whom are newly employed by Sulzer Pumps, have over 300 years pump experience between them. The high quality office accommodation provides a pleasant working environment with ready access to local facilities and demonstrates Sulzer Pumps long term commitment to the area.

Investment in the office has provided an excellent working environment.
