Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd specializes in the production, packaging and testing of highly engineered pumps for the Oil & Gas and Power segments. The company’s success in recent years meant the capacity of it’s purpose built facility in Leeds was heavily stretched to meet demand.

| Sulzer and Saudi Aramco Sign a Strategic Ten Year Supply Agreement (19/09/2008, ) |

Sulzer announced today that it is the first company to negotiate and sign a Strategic Corporate Procurement Agreement (CPA) with Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producing company. The agreement was signed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Ton Büchner, CEO Sulzer and Kim Jackson, President Sulzer Pumps.

| Sulzer wood limited wins three year North Sea contract with Chevron (29/05/2008, ) |
|
Sulzer Wood Limited, a joint venture between Sulzer Pumps UK and John Wood Group PLC (“Wood Group”), based in Ellon, Scotland, has been awarded a contract by Chevron North Sea Limited to support more than 20 pumping systems installed on the Alba, Captain and Erskine North Sea UKCS assets.
The contract term is three years, valued at approximately $12 million, with two one-year extension options.

| Sulzer Awarded Key Power Project in South Africa (22/05/2008, ) |

Sulzer Pumps has received a large order from Alstom Power for pumps to be installed in the new Medupi coal fired power station, being built for Eskom, the South African national generator. The order includes a total of 48 pumps for boiler feed, booster, and condensate extraction duties. In addition to the manufacturing of the pumps, Sulzer’s scope encompasses the full project management of the pump modules, including the related equipment such as motors and couplings. The power station, the country’s first green field project for 20 years, will have an ultimate generating capacity of 4 790 megawatt.

Philippe Dupont, Head of Hydraulic Development for Sulzer Pumps in Winterthur Switzerland, was presented with the award for ‘Best Technical Paper’ at the recent IMechE 10th Annual European Fluid Machinery Congress held in Amsterdam. The paper, entitled “Impeller Life Prediction in Pumps” was co-authored with Gary Fitch, Manager Hydraulics and Applications, at Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd.

Online Sulzer Select system proves a hit with customers.
Sulzer Select, the free online pump selection service provided by Sulzer Pumps recently recorded its 3 000th registered user. Launched in September 2007, the system has proved an instant success with users from all over the globe providing access to select a wide range of Sulzer Pumps products.
