The P2 In-stope rig |
Features
The P2 rig was designed to enhance manoeuvrability and lightness. With the unique module assembly it is easy to transport the rig to different stopes and/or levels. The wheels are independent from the drive motor, thus the rig can be pulled into the stope face by means of it’s own drive or any other pulling device. Although track bound, it ensures that the face is being drilled in a straight line.

Features
Designed to be utilized in stoping areas with low grades. This rig is positioned in the gully and drilling operations are conducted from the gully. Stoping breadths of ± 10m is ideal for this rig. The tilting of the booms compensate ideally for the dip of the stopes. With sectioned drillsteel of 1,5m lengths and a 50mm button bit, holes are being drilled through the breadth of a stope. This operation allows you a very narrow stoping width with minimal waste rock after blasting.

Features
The Wasp model allows all three booms to swivel 20° up or down. All three booms are also height adjustable. A typical 25m panel can be drilled within 3hrs by a single operator. The modular approach permits fast assembly and exchange of all components. Booms are fitted with the Sulzer telescopic legs. The bogie incorporates a Sulzer Turgo drive and the New Generation Drills are utilized for drilling.

Features
The narrow stope 2-boom rig is designed for stope faces of 800mm to 1000mm. The centre post of this rig can swivel 180° which enables the driller to drill the head of the panel with the rig. As with the 3-boomer, a modular approach is taken to permit fast assembly and exchange of all components. Although a very low rig, it is still easy to operate in the confines of a narrow stope face.
