| | Strong Research and Development Sulzer Pumps places great emphasis on research and development. It starts with basic research, focusing on hydraulics, cavitation, erosion, corrosion and mechanical design (particularly rotor-dynamic design). Basic research advances are then applied to product development, where our engineers work closely with customers on the practical implementation of innovative ideas. Sulzer Innotec is the centralized research and development unit of the Sulzer Corporation. Unique Pump Testing Capabilities Sulzer operates over 20 test facilities worldwide. Our facilities are suitable for horizontal, vertical, open pit, high flow rate/high energy and multiphase testing, with the ability to perform tests at 50 and 60Hz and, depending on the site, using diesel engines, gas engines and gas turbines as well as electric motors. Global Experience Since the inception of nuclear power generation, Sulzer has played a major role in supplying primary and secondary safety system pumping equipment, and main coolant pump mechanical seals to the global market. - Installations exceed 100 sites worldwide
- Operations in over 20 types of pump applications.
- Overseeing PWR and BWR projects worldwide.
